Besides doing boxing he started selling drugs when he was only 12 years old. In 10th grade he was caught with a firearm and narcotics on school grounds. His rise to popularity was tanked to his spontaneously composed track “How to Rob”. In May of 2000, he got shot 9 times into the chest, but he survived and recovered after 5 months. There were some issues and he was dropped by Columbia records after which he had to start over and that’s when he released a mixtape called “Guess Who’s Back” which was the real reason he became famous because Eminem noticed it and it led to him being introduced to Dr. Dre and signed a $1 million record for the album “No Mercy, No Fear”.
